TURKISH SIDE INTERESTED IN LEEDS MAN

Turkish side Besiktas are reportedly interested in Leeds United man Chris Wood.

The Whites striker has caught the eye of CoachSenolGunes. Daily Express claims the manager sent scouts to watch the player in action and report back before they can proceed with the deal.

Gunes wants Wood to serve as the replacement for Vincent Aboubakar. The 27-year old is valued £20 million by United so the Turkish side would need to break the bank to land him.

In other transfer news, Derby County want Foxes player Tom Lawrence. They submitted a bid of £7 million but Leicester City value the midfielder more than that. The player in question was on loan to Ipswich Town last season where he scored 11 times and won the club’s Player of the Year award. (more…)

Garry Monk is not interested in contract talks

Garry Monk is doing something that has not been accomplished in a significantly long period of time as the English manager is pushing Leicester City to the top 5 spots of the English League Championship.

This is a huge improvement for Leicester City as they finished the previous season of 2015-2016 in the 13th position but with the arrival of Garry Monk and his appointment as the new head coach of Leicester City, has seen the club being consistently positioned in the top spots of the 2nd tier of English football.

Monk took over Leicester City on June 2 of 2016 as he replaced Steve Evans and even though it has not even been 1 year since he has arrived to Elland Road, fans of the club have already taken a liking to the English manager and want to see Garry Monk stay in charge of the club for an extended period of time than what his contract has stated.

The current contract of Garry Monk expires in the summer and for the past few weeks, discussions and rumors have been going on involving what is going to happen with Monk when his contract with Leicester City reaches it’s end and if he is interested in staying beyond what his original deal established. MICAH RICHARDS TO REMAIN WITH VILLA

Aston Villa captain Micah Richards is set to remain with his club despite numerous links away from the club, reports say.

The defender was believed would exit the side during the window but would now remain beyond the winter window.

Steve Bruce still has him in his plans and he featured the player during the 2-2 draw with Preston North End on Matchday 18. Premier League side West Ham were willing to snap up the veteran. Hull City and Sunderland were also linked to the star last summer but the player decided to remain.

He struggled to get action time during former boss Roberto Di Matteo but seems to have hope with Bruce in charge, possibly why he decided to remain at the club.

Richards still has two years and half on his current deal and it seems the 28-year old hopes for a renewal with time. He only just recovered from a knee injury and would hope Bruce selects him for forthcoming games. (more…)
