Chelsea defender FikayoTomori has been frozen out of the first team picture at the club this season and the Nigerian-born England international is said to be keen to leave the West London giants in this January transfer market. Premier League newcomers Leeds United are interested in signing Tomori as manager Marcelo Bielsa looks for cover in central defence due to the injury to new signing Robin Koch. German defender Koch is not expected back anytime soon after he underwent surgery on the knee that he injured last month. The Leeds United player was ruled out for three months in the aftermath of his surgery.

The interest of Leeds United in FikayoTomori was reported by the BBC and he could be the man to solve the defensive issues at Elland Road. Leeds United are one of the most entertaining teams in the Premier League but they also ship a lot of goals. Leeds United have one of the worst defence in the division after conceding 33 goals in just 17 league games. In the last one month, Leeds United have been on the receiving end of heavy league defeats to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Leeds United were handed a 6-2 away defeat at rivals Manchester United and a 3-0 away loss at Spurs. The league newcomers also delivered heavy Premier League defeats to the duo of West Brom and Newcastle United during the said period. Leeds United thumped the Baggies 5-0 away from home and also scored five goals against the Magpies in a 5-2 victory at home.

Premier League newcomers Leeds United have been backed to return to winning ways at home ahead of the visit of London team West Ham United. Leeds United were tipped to beat the Hammers by former Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson who’s now a pundit with BBC Sports. He expects Leeds United to end their four-match winless run at home in the league when Marcelo Bielsa’s men play hosts to West Ham United at Elland Road on Friday night in the first match of week twelve games in the Premier League.

Leeds United have won just one of their five home games in the league on their return to the English topflight. The solitarywin came during their first home game back in the Premier League in September. Leeds United beat fellow newcomers Fulham 4-3 in that game played on the second weekend of the season. Bielsa confirms that he will stay with Leeds for the 2020/21 campaign

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that he will remain Leeds United’s head coach for the 2020/21 season. The Argentine helped the Whites return to the top-flight after a 16-year hiatus earlier this summer and there are plenty of expectations from the west Yorkshire outfit, who have already made some quality signings.

In recent weeks, there has been no update on Bielsa’s contract, which was scheduled to expire at the end of last season, but the Argentine has confirmed that he has agreed to an extension which will be confirmed in due course, he told reporters: “I will be working the next season at Leeds United. Everything has been sorted. It’s definite that I will be here next season.”

Leeds United mocks Derby County ahead of the match on Sunday

Leeds United has mocked Derby County ahead of the match on a scandal that happened in the previous season. In 2018-2019 season, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has occupied the headlines as he had sent a staff to report on the training routine of Derby County ahead of their clash in the semi-finals. Later Bielsa publicly admitted that he has been sending spies to Derby County and few other clubs of Championship in order to gain strength over the opposition.

This has created some sort of tension between the clubs and in the semi-final,playoff Derby won the match for 4-3 aggregate. Later in the stadium, the fans of the club mocked by making binocular gestures. As a reply to this, the club before the game has mocked by posting a video on the social media where the Derby stadium was being viewed through the binoculars.

Warnock believes Leeds United can finally seal Premier League promotion

Former Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has backed the Yorkshire outfit to seal their comeback to the Premier League after 16 years. The Championship side were in a commanding position during the previous campaign but their form dipped during the final weeks of the season as they missed out on the automatic promotions spots.

Ultimately, they bowed out of the playoffs at the semi-final stage and that presented another disappointing moment for the fans. In the current season, Leeds experienced a similar stumble at the turn of the year but they have managed to overcome the setback by going on a five-match winning run in the Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa heaps praise on summer signing Ben White

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has hailed the performances of defender Ben White since his loan move from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer. The 21-year-old has been a solid presence at the heart of the defence this season and he has helped the club keep five clean sheet from the opening 11 league games.

Speaking in a press conference, Bielsa hailed White as a great player and said that he does not making any mistakes even when he decides to take risks, he told: “He’s a great player. He takes risks and he doesn’t make mistakes. That’s the most difficult thing in football. It’s easy when you take risks. It’s normal to make mistakes when you take risks. The best players risk and don’t make mistakes. Everything seems White is in this band.”
