'The players are thriving' ~ Grayson

Leeds United's faultless start to the season continued with a thoroughly dominant display against Tranmere Rovers at Elland Road this afternoon. The usual suspects were on the score sheet again for United, with Bradley Johnson following up his midweek strike at Walsall, before Jermaine Beckford and Luciano Becchio helped themselves to another goal apiece, leaving manager Simon Grayson reaching for the superlatives.

'It certainly was an excellent performance. When we got possession of the ball we moved it around really well and played some fantastic stuff. I felt like a fan at times just watching them. Everything came together today. We've got a good work ethic right the way through the team and that hopefully will carry us a long way forward'.

The manager hinted he will be fielding a strong side in Tuesday's Carling Cup second round tie against Championship side Watford: 'The players are thriving at the moment, they're playing with a lot of confidence and we want to keep that momentum going. At this moment in time we're looking forward to playing anybody'.
